Basent Renovation PHASE II Begins…

It’s time for the “back half” of the basement to undergo it’s renovation.   This will include the renovation of a full bath, a kitchen and the addition of a bedroom.  The kitchen will become more of a kithenette with bar area.  A lot of the ceiling drywall was ripped out and a partial wall built early becasue we did a total kitchen renovation above it (see Pictures of Kitchen ) which included a heavy re-do of electric and and dedicated sub panel – removing the drywall in anticipation of doing this project helped a lot with access.  The wall was put up becuase there is a granite topped island over a travertine floor above.  I didn’t want the floor settleing with all that weight prior to putting this wall in – which will be the bedroom wall.

In the shot below, the studs are for the wall sectioning off what will be a bedroom to the right.  Straight back is the walk-out doorway.  The kitchen is to the immediate left (no viewable).
